  1. For the first part the person who measured it was Mr. Bruce A. Buffett. The magnetic strength is believed to be 50 times that of the surface.
    For part two, scientists believe that due to the earth's heated core, the metallic pieces rise and fall due to convection currents and they create a dynamo like effect giving a magnetic field. For the third part, the magnetic field is there to reflect the harmful radiations from the sun and protect the surface enabling life to grow.

  4. The students were between 8 and 12 and studied bees and how they are affected by colours. Their work was published in Biology Letters. Trained bees were conditi9ned to go to plants if different colours and it was found that they could learn and remember cues based on colours and patterns!
