  7. 1. His name is Frank Donald Drake who works in SETI (search for extraterrestrial intelligence) also a professor. He found this equation in 1961. His profession is electronics and chemistry.

    In order to find out if there is alien life on the galaxy we need to solve the equation and in order to do this scientists need to know factors in the equation. Some factors are known such as S. (The rate of of star formation in our galaxy).But there are some unknown factors.such as N. ( The number of planets that could potetially bear life around each star and that has planets). Once the all factors are known, it could provide us interesting infomation and the equation can be solved.
